WoW Classic Fresh: Will the XP buff at level 60 give us more gold?

Update from 07 October:
Apparently, there were ambiguities regarding the 25 percent XP buff for quests, which is why Community Manager Kaivax has contacted us again with an update in the official WoW forum:

  • The XP buff is available in the championship season from level 1 to 59. Thus, those who have reached level 60 cannot hope for an additional gold yield via quests.

Original news from October 06:
With the Season of Mastery, a kind of Classic Plus will soon start for WoW Classic. In its basic form, Classic will remain the same game, but they are making some changes after player feedback to make Classic WoW a little more exciting and fast-paced. If you want to check out the changes already, you can download the beta client from battle.net and hop on the test servers.

WoW Classic season of the championship patch notes from the beta server (October 6, 2021).

Week 1 of the Open Beta

  • Level cap is 30.
  • There are no pre-made characters
  • XP for turning in quests increased by 25%.
  • Herb and ore deposits increased.
  • Honor system is enabled.
  • Warsong Gulch is enabled

Future changes (currently not in Open Beta)

  • Debuff and buff limit is increased.
  • Raid boss health will be increased.
  • Old raid mechanics of bosses will be re-enabled.
  • World buffs in raids will be removed.
  • Rest stones will become summoning stones.
  • Curbing of excessive power leveling/boosting*.

The focus of the developers in the first week of the open beta is to test the leveling speed of players under the new adjustments. During the testing phase, they will take a close look at the bug reports and feedback and then think about further changes. In the future, just like in retail WoW (buy now €14.99 )

-the reporting and punishment of players who misbehave, to say the least, will also be improved.

*Blizzard gives as an example the typical mage boosts in dungeons. These should no longer be allowed in season of mastery of WoW Classic. How the developers want to check this is still pending.
