WoW: Dragonflight removes an unpopular feature from the game

With WoW: Dragonflight, a new age is dawning under the sun of Azeroth. Our heroes return from the Shadowlands and finally no longer have to deal with cosmic villains, but we return to classic high-fantasy - including the new class of the Dracthyr Ranger (who may become a tank in later expansions), a completely new talent system and an overhaul of the interface. The developers talked about all of this in detail during the announcement event. Other things, however, were not mentioned at all and one could assume that they will simply be kept as before - for example, the decoupling of grind and player power.

In the case of one feature, however, that doesn't seem to be the case. As Ion Hazzikostas now virtually confirmed in an interview, one of the more unpopular features of the past is being secretly and quietly thrown out of the game. We are talking about the mission table.

No mission table in WoW (buy now ): Dragonflight

Whereby, if you take it exactly, it is still not one hundred percent clear how things will continue with the mission table.

  • Currently, there would be no plan to continue the mission table in Dragonflight.

That is admittedly not a definitive statement, but that applies to almost all of the information from the interviews. After all, the developers always emphasized that feedback is important and that they will adjust things without further ado if players think that a decision needs to be changed.

In the case of the mission table, however, it can hardly be assumed that particularly many players will go to the barricades over it. The system is generally not considered very popular and is only used by the vast majority to get resources or gold on the side. Moreover, this decision is in line with taking a step back and no longer considering our hero as the superhero of Azeroth, who in this case has a whole lot of subordinate followers.

Will you be mourning the mission table in WoW: Dragonflight, or do you think it was a good decision to simply remove the feature from the game? Could you imagine a system where such a mission table makes more sense and is more challenging to play? Feel free to tell us in the comments.
