WoW: Fallen warhorse - how to get the most beautiful horse from the maw
When patch 9.1 hits the live servers on June 30, 2021, it will be another good time for mount collectors. Because the upcoming update has a lot of mounts in the luggage. Among them, of course, the usual suspects for the respective achievements of the Seasons or from the raid. But with the new area Korthia and the rework of the Maw, some new mounts are coming into play as well. One of them is the Fallen Warhorse. You can capture it if you find it in the Maw and defeat it. The YouTuber Arhqirah has now found out how to do this and has shared it with all interested parties via video.
How to get the Fallen Steed
You can get the Fallen Warhorse from the Rare Mob of the same name in the Maw. It spawns (on the PTR) in the Crucible of the Damned every six hours or so, and then rides across the Maw at high speed. His destination is Korthia, and once he reaches it, he will simply disappear and you will have to wait for him to reappear.

When doing so, you might want to travel in a group, because the steed is not an easy opponent. For one thing, it has a lot of health (about 800,000), which increases with each player who attacks it. On the other hand, it has some nasty attacks up its sleeve, and it'll knock down anything that isn't a tank pretty quickly. You can expect the following attacks.
- Fallen Riders: Ghostly riders appear and fixate players. When they reach their target, they explode and cause immense damage.
- Headbutt: Deals high damage and knocks the current target back.
- Swiftness: Increases the warhorse's movement speed by 25% for 20 seconds. Can be interrupted.
- Crushing Hooves: A stackable effect that increases the target's damage taken by 50% for 24 seconds.
This means that the Rare Mob has more abilities than most world bosses and is just as dangerous.
Currently on the PTR the drop chance of the mount is not 100 percent. Whether it will be a guaranteed drop on the live server remains to be seen.
